A hard rock underground mining company wants to hear from jobseekers who are keen to do remote work in North Queensland.
Barminco recently invited applications for multiple entry level, fly-in fly-out (FIFO) positions in underground mining. The business owned by Perenti Group is prepared to fully train and pay new nippers and truck drivers. There is potential to move to other positions after completing a Certificate ll in underground metalliferous mining.
Click here to apply. Successful applicants will be offered permanent full-time jobs, a roster of 14 days on seven days off, multiple work locations, FIFO travel via Townsville, 10.25 per cent superannuation and employee discounts.
“[This] gives you the opportunity to progress your career into other underground roles. Our structured training is award-winning and we pride ourselves on developing our people,” the company said on the Seek website.
Meanwhile, the company is separately recruiting for the following experienced North Queensland roles:
- grader/loaders run of mine (multiple positions)
- diamond drillers/offsiders (multiple)
- charge up operators (multiple)
- bogger operators (multiple)
- jumbo operators (multiple)
- service crew (multiple)
- shotcretes (multiple).
“To support our growth at two operating sites across Northern Queensland we are seeking applications for experienced operators to join the Barminco team. The following roles will be available in a range of rosters with FIFO options from major cities on the East Coast of Australia or drive in and out options,” the company said.
