Workers at a Hunter Valley power station have been offered counselling after an explosion that injured two workers last week.
A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital after receiving burns to his face and hands when a transformer exploded last Wednesday at AGL’s Liddell power station, south of Muswellbrook.
About 300 employees at the power station were evacuated after the explosion, which occurred just before 3pm.
A second worker suffered minor burns.
AGL said the injured workers’ families were notified, and counsellors will be made available to them and employees.
The cause of the incident is still being investigated and production at the station has not been impacted.
