Xantippe Resources Limited (XTC or the Company) advises that the Company has completed a maiden RC drilling programme at its Southern Cross gold project, located approximately 380km east of Perth.
Sixteen holes, drilled for a total depth of 1,722m during the 12-day programme, were designed to test historic drill results and explore targets at depths deeper than previously recorded.
A total of 8 holes for 876m were completed at the Glendower prospect, 6 holes for 618m were completed at the Xantippe prospect and 2 holes for 228m were completed at Treasury South.
The drilling campaign across the Company’s 76Km2 tenement holding is on ground which is proximate to a number of active mine sites such as the Marvel Loch and Edna May mines, located in the Yilgarn greenstone belt – one of Australia’s most prolific gold provinces.
Samples have been submitted for analysis and results will be reported as they come to hand.
Richard Henning, Managing Director of Xantippe Resources said:
“From a standing start to the completion of this programme in less than 8 weeks, including all approvals and logistics, is quite remarkable. Hopefully, we will have no undue delays in the analysis process and we can use the results to plan our next round of geophysical surveys and database analysis prior to the next drilling programme.”
