Doray Minerals Limited has announced record quarterly gold production of 28,180 ounces at the company’s high-grade Andy Well Gold Project in Western Australia.
The June Quarter production takes the 2014/15 full year production from Andy Well to 88,736 ounces, a 15 per cent increase from the first year’s total of 76,785 ounces, and towards the top end of the upgraded full year guidance of 85,000-90,000 ounces.
Doray’s managing director Allan Kelly said the production results put Doray in a strong position to complete funding and commence construction of its second high-grade gold project at Deflector.
“We started the second year of production knowing we had some challenges to overcome at Andy Well,” Mr Kelly said.
“As a result of the determined efforts of our workforce, we outperformed our expectations, including making consistent improvements in our operating costs.
“We also increased the size of the high-grade stage 2 open pit, outlined a third high-grade open pit at Suzie and subsequently met our upgraded full year guidance, while simultaneously launching and completing the takeover of Mutiny Gold Limited.”
