The Transported Asset Protection Association also identified criminal fraud as a growing threat among certain logistics and transport insurance enterprises.
The Procurement and Supply Australasia’s website revealed common cases involve individuals using forged documents to deceive security into believing they are contractors or drivers.
“Risk advisory firm Kroll, in its 2023 fraud and financial crime report, found 68 per cent of businesses expect to encounter more financial crime and 73 per cent plan to dedicate more time to enhancing supply chain controls and conducting due diligence,” the website said.
